Achieving stability is a high priority for those experiencing homelessness. However, the stigma they are surrounded by can be inescapable, and hinders them from achieving their goals. Our project, Humans of SHOW, challenges the assumptions that the public may have about those experiencing homelessness, and shows that those without homes are not without hearts or without stories. Volunteers interview and photograph clients throughout Arizona, asking them about their life experiences, which are then transcribed and shared with a portrait to the @humansofshow Instagram page. Our hope is that by disseminating the valuable information collected by these individuals, we will all have a better idea about homelessness, and what we can do to help.
